The Internet of Things Tips Over

At some point in the near future we will tip over into the Internet of Things.  Some are already there.  Recently we spoke with a couple who control everything in their 500 sq ft condo via their smartphones.  Food gets resupplied and delivered; appliances are controlled remotely;  security is monitored continuously.  They think nothing of it.  

I see the value of control; of having one device to control everything.  I say let's hurry up and get there!

The digital music revolution

Two things become apparant from the chart below:

1. Downloads of single songs dominate and have driven the growth in consumption of music
2. While revenue from music has fallen by nearly 50%, it has bottomed out and is again on the rise

How digital is revolutioinizing health care

When a symptom developes, the first thing we reach for is our smartphone to go online to see what's online.  Then after we go to our doctor, we're back online continuing deeper research and engaging in our own care.  Digital technology will really allow Doctor's to make house calls once again.
